DRIFTWOOD: CONGO (SMALL)
Compared to many popular driftwoods, Congo Wood is relatively new to the aquarium hobby. However, it is rapidly becoming more well known, and for good reason. This dense wood is generally tan to medium brown in coloration and it has many of the best qualities of other driftwoods. It is considerably more dense and less fragile than many of the branching driftwoods that we offer, but it often still has some branches and a visible, attractive texture. Some pieces are more slab-like with less branches, which can be very useful in achieving a balanced, attractive aquascape. Many of our employees have jumped on the Congo Wood bandwagon already! Depending on the piece, Congo Wood will sometimes float if not boiled and/or weighed down, but it will sink more quickly than other lighter driftwoods.
